Cinco de Mayo at the Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne
Posted on 18:15 by suresh kumar
We decided to hit Cinco de Mayo with style this year and headed over to the ritziest place in Miami - the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, located at 455 Grand Bay Drive. For the past three years, the Ritz has been pulling all the stops for the commemoration of Mexico's Batalla de Puebla, and it has become bigger and better every time. Held by the pool outside their Mexican Restaurant, Cantina Beach, and following the sophistication and elegance characteristic of the Ritz, this year's colorful festivities included stilt walkers, DJ, mariachis, complimentary guacamole bites (which I couldn't stop eating) and samples of Dobel tequila straight up or served in delicious cocktails. From 6pm to 10pm on Sunday, May 5th, guests enjoyed $5 tastes of a variety of authentic tacos complete with all the fixings, refreshing Corona beer, and the largest selection of tequilas in the region - 110 to be exact. Mixologists were on hand serving up the evening's featured Margaritas and you couldn't help but feel like you had crossed the border to celebrate the fiesta in the the streets of Mexico, with a celebrity or two joining you along the way. Check out the picture gallery below for a glimpse of the fun.
