You know how Italians love to eat, get together and talk loudly? (Wait, or are those Cubans?) Well, Dolce Italian, located at the Gale in South Beach at 1690 Collins Avenue, is bringing a little of that old school Italian tradition right here to Miami by recently launching a Sunday Family Supper. The Sunday dinner menu features locally sourced and house-made dishes crafted by Executive Chef Paolo Dorigato, served family-style in a warm and welcoming setting. The delicious feast is available every Sunday starting at 6pm, and will change seasonally.
Dolce Italian opened one year ago at the Gale South Beach, and it has been tickling taste buds with its signature staples ever since. Sunday Family Supper is just another way its owners have decided to bring regulars and fans alike another authentic experience. The fun part is that since the dinner is served family style, you can share and pretend you're part of a scene in "Moonstruck". I took part in one of their Sunday Family Suppers a couple of weeks ago, and it was a very nice way to unwind with friends and sip a little vino. That's right I said vino. You can choose to go for the Family Style Supper (minimum 4 people) without wine for $35 or add wine pairings for just $50. Now that's a great price!
I sampled several of the dishes and I thought I'd bring you my favorites. Behold the Italian foodporn parade:
